Dr. Aruna Puthota completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. She served as a certified first responder before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Puthota then relocated to Ohio for the Psychiatry-Family Medicine Combined five-year residency program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and The Christ Hospital where she served as Chief Resident and received the Gold Humanism in Teaching and Resident as Teacher awards. During her free time, Dr. Puthota enjoys movie nights and spending time outdoors with her husband and children, kayaking, dancing, travelling and trying new foods.

Dr Puthota is easy to talk to. She explained connections between signs and diagnosis. She's rather direct and talking about any level of dementia is hard. She is kind in talking about hard things.
She's a psychiatrist. I'd refer her if a friend needed that.
Doctor offered Psychiatric exam if needed, which doesn't solve my need for a Psychologist, but I'm hopeful for meetings as needed. [...] Upon offer for a Psychiatric examination, estimated hours of availability were communicated with me; I was asked more than once about a follow-up appointment which I communicated was undecided; I could have been more specific about the time that I require to make decisions.Doctor offered to investigate the early signs of my noisy stomach-area concern; I was not pressured to any remedies, and was asked about relevant factors like diet. I don't yet know if I can recommend Doctor [...]
